Softball Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calhoun can now relate to. They fell just short of the Needville Bluejays by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The Sandcrabs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Jordan Pena spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 8-16-1. As for Needville, the win was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-2.

While Calhoun had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
