Cutter-Morning Star took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Horatio, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lions 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Cutter-Morning Star's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Horatio, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Cutter-Morning Star will take on Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Horatio, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Pine at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Red Devils will have lost four straight heading into Friday's game.
