Basketball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Schuylkill Haven won the last time they faced Williams Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes secured a 53-47 W over the Williams Valley Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Schuylkill Haven was led to victory by Alan Evans and Max Heim. Evans posted 21 points, while Heim dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Evans' evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydyn Diehl, who put up seven points.

Schuylkill Haven's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. As for Williams Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Schuylkill Haven will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. As for Williams Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Annville-Cleona at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
