Football Game Preview: Anahuac Panthers vs. Orangefield Bobcats + How To Watch

The Anahuac Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Orangefield Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anahuac has given up an average of 45.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Anahuac will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Kirbyville on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 69-59. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Orangefield came up short against Hardin on Friday and fell 38-29. The Bobcats gained 73 more yards on the day, but it was the Hornets that made the best use of them.

Anahuac will have to keep a close watch on Carson Gonzales and Mason Manning, a pair of players who had a big impact on Orangefield's prior game. Gonzales threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, while Manning gained 156 total yards.

Anahuac's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Orangefield, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.
