Lane Tech has been away from home for six games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Whitney Young Dolphins at 6:00 p.m.

Lane Tech is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Jones just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Champions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Lane Tech actually scored more points across those three sets (69-64), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Defeat or not, Lane Tech got some senior leadership from Juliana Apezzato and Anya Moore. Apezzato had 22 digs, while Moore. had three digs and two aces. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for her.

Meanwhile, Whitney Young had already won two in a row, and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 2-0.

After all that action, the final score was 29-27, 25-17.

Lane Tech's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Whitney Young, the win also got them back to even at 5-5.
