Volleyball Recap: Hilbert Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Hilbert was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Reedsville Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win last Saturday.

Hilbert had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-13.

Reedsville's loss came despite strong showings from Kayla Peterson and Kortney Dvorachek. Peterson had 36 digs and five aces, while Dvorachek had 25 digs.

Hilbert's victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-27. As for Reedsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-23.

Hilbert wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Montello on the 23rd. Reedsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
