Basketball Recap: Crisfield Drops Highest Score of Season Against Washington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crisfield). They managed an 83-79 win over the Washington Jaguars on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-32 back in January.

Washington's loss came despite strong showings from Elijah Thomas and Nasear Bailey. Thomas dropped a double-double with 30 points and 14 boards, while Bailey shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas' evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Jakai Jones was another key player, putting up five points.

Crisfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

Crisfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington, they will head out to challenge Mardela at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
