Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Eaglecrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Cherokee Trail Cougars 3-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-17.

Jackson Shaw paced Eaglecrest's offense, picking up 16 kills. Shaw got some help from Will George and his 30 assists. Shaw was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Eaglecrest pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cherokee Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Eaglecrest will head out to challenge Overland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherokee Trail, they will host Regis Groff at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fusion will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
