Volleyball Recap: Arundel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Howard

Arundel faced Howard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Arundel was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Howard's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Miranda Ball, who had 15 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Arundel's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Howard, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Arundel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Howard, they will face off against River Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
