Baseball Recap: Granite Bay Comes Up Short

Granite Bay fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Jesuit on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marauders. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Andrew Jones made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Paul, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Granite Bay's record now sits at 15-10. As for Jesuit, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10.

While Granite Bay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
