Softball Game Preview: Toledo Indians vs. Morton/White Pass Timberwolves

The Toledo Indians will face off against the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Toledo has four straight wins, Morton/White Pass has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Toledo took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Adna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Pirates 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since May 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Morton/White Pass lost 24-1 to Mossyrock on Saturday.

Toledo's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Morton/White Pass, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything went Toledo's way against Morton/White Pass in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Toledo made off with an 18-1 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
