Softball Preview: Findlay Trojans vs. Bowling Green Bobcats
The Findlay Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Bowling Green Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Findlay's victory against Defiance wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 5-4 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ross, sneaking past 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Little Giants: they've now won four in a row.
Jules Firsdon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
