Volleyball Game Preview: Gibsonburg Golden Bears vs. Lakota Raiders

Gibsonburg hasn't had much luck against Lakota recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Golden Bears will take on the Raiders in a tournament on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Gibsonburg took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Margaretta with a sharp 3-0 win.

Gibsonburg never let Margaretta on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Lakota got the win against Riverdale on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Lakota won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 26-24.

Lakota has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Gibsonburg, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Gibsonburg came up short against Lakota in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can the Golden Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
