Baseball Game Preview: Mahar Regional Senators vs. Turners Falls Thunder

The Mahar Regional Senators will head out to challenge the Turners Falls Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mahar Regional is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

On Monday, Mahar Regional came up short against Smith Academy and fell 5-1.

Meanwhile, Turners Falls also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lenox Memorial by a score of 7-4.

Julian Kaiser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Jackson Cogswell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Girard, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Turners Falls now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mahar Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
