After a string of four wins, Coosa's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bremen Blue Devils. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Coosa saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Whitley Sharpe had seven digs, six kills, and one block. Another player making a difference was Ava King, who had nine digs and two assists.

Coosa's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Bremen, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coosa will face off against Adairsville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bremen, they will square off against South Paulding at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
