It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wethersfield had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 37-29 victory over the Illini Bluffs Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Flying Geese sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Wethersfield's win bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Illini Bluffs, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Coming up, Wethersfield will face off against Abingdon/Avon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abingdon/Avon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Wethersfield likes a good challenge. Illini Bluffs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
