Recap: St. Martin de Porres Lions vs. Open Door Christian Patriots
The St. Martin de Porres Lions won the last time they faced the Open Door Christian Patriots, and things went their way on Monday too. St. Martin de Porres came out on top against Open Door Christian by a score of 36-23.
Lyric Johnson was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dessiona Jackson, who scored six points along with four steals and three blocks.
The win got St. Martin de Porres back to even at 8-8. As for Open Door Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
St. Martin de Porres will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Kirtland at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th. As for Open Door Christian, they will be playing at home against Cleveland Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
