Volleyball Recap: Watsonville Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Watsonville not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kirby Prep Griffins. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcatz in their matchups with the Griffins: they've now won seven in a row.

One reason for the win was Watsonville's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Watsonville pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Kirby Prep, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Watsonville and Kirby Prep will both be playing Pajaro Valley the next time they take the court. The Wildcatz will host the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Griffins will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
