Basketball Recap: Webster Schroeder Comes Up Short

Webster Schroeder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Webster Thomas Titans. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Titans are ranked 61st).

Webster Schroeder's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Webster Thomas, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Webster Schroeder will host Spencerport at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Spencerport has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Webster Thomas, they will head out to square off against Fairport at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairport will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Webster Thomas surely won't give up without a fight.
