Baseball Recap: Hilton Head Island Comes Up Short

Hilton Head Island's last matchup with Philip Simmons could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Seahawks lost 14-3 to the Iron Horses. The Seahawks just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Hilton Head Island saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Boatwright, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Philip Simmons, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Looking ahead, Hilton Head Island will head out to face off against May River at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Philip Simmons, they will take on Hanahan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
