Old Forge dropped their record down to 4-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Lakeland Chiefs by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Ava Arnold was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Danica Pritchyk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

As for Lakeland, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Old Forge since April 5, 2021.

On Lakeland's side, Mick Eremo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Eremo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alix Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Old Forge will host Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Lakeland, they will face off against Western Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
