The Southwest Florida Christian King will head out to take on the Mariner Tritons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mariner's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Southwest Florida Christian hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The King's didn't even let Community School of Naples on the board on Thursday, marking the King's second-straight 15-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the King's in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now won six in a row.

Natalie Recker made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Candice Chime was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adrianna Thorne, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Southwest Florida Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Cape Coral typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Mariner proved too difficult a challenge. They never let the Seahawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Tritons as they're now sitting on three straight.
Like Southwest Florida Christian, Mariner also got a great game from a two-way player: Gabi Winters. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over 4.2 innings pitched. Winters was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Tucker, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Rylie Moore was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Southwest Florida Christian's record now sits at 7-5. As for Mariner, their record is now 11-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Southwest Florida Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mariner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Southwest Florida Christian suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Mariner when the teams last played back in February of 2018. Can the King's avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
