Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Valley vs. Red Oak Tigers

Southwest Valley is 2-8 against Red Oak since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Southwest Valley will head out to face off against the Red Oak Tigers at 4:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Southwest Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Martensdale-St. Mary's.

Meanwhile, Red Oak didn't have too much trouble with Atlantic on Tuesday as they won 59-43. The Tigers have beaten the Trojans the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Southwest Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Red Oak, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Southwest Valley came up short against Red Oak in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 55-51. Can Southwest Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
