Soccer Recap: Antigo Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Antigo can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Shawano Community Hawks on Thursday. Antigo were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matches prior), but Shawano Community's defense proved too tough.

Antigo's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Shawano Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.

Antigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shawano Community, they will face off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
