Basketball Recap: Brodey Lamb's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gibson Southern over Southridge

Gibson Southern was the 60-52 winner over Southridge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gibson Southern Titans took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southridge Raiders on Thursday. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 16-10 in the first quarter.

Gibson Southern lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brodey Lamb, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Lamb a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Connor Marvel was another key player, going 6 of 10 to rack up 14 points.

Gibson Southern's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Southridge, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
