Basketball Recap: Rosie Townsend Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Faulkner County Homeschool

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union Christian Academy, Abundant Life was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Faulkner County HomeSchool Falcons by a score of 39-27. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Owls' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Falcons are ranked 142nd).

Abundant Life got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rosie Townsend out in front who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and six steals. Townsend is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Amber Kahler was another key player, putting up ten points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Abundant Life's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Faulkner County HomeSchool, they moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Abundant Life will welcome Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abundant Life is facing Gospel Light Christian at the right time seeing as Gospel Light Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Faulkner County HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
