Basketball Recap: Medford Takes a Loss

Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers and fell 66-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 166th).

Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Medford has already played their next contest (against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.
