Softball Preview: Broken Bow Savages vs. Checotah Wildcats        
        
		
             Broken Bow has won three straight games at home, while Checotah has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much  on Tuesday. The Broken Bow Savages will square off against the Checotah Wildcats at 5:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Broken Bow: 3.4, Checotah: 3.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Broken Bow is probably headed into the  game with a chip on their shoulder considering Caddo just ended the team's  six-game winning streak  on Thursday. They took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The Savages haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
 Meanwhile, Checotah got themselves on the board against Sallisaw on Thursday, but Sallisaw never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Black Diamonds with a sharp  10-0 victory.
  Aurora Madewell and  Shaelynn Casey did most of the damage at the plate:  Madewell  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs, and a  triple, while  Casey  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Layna Vandiver, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Checotah  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .583. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
 Broken Bow's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-3. As for Checotah, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season.
 Broken Bow took their  win against Checotah  in their previous matchup  back in August of 2023 by a conclusive  8-1. Will Broken Bow repeat their success,  or does  Checotah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
