Football Recap: Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook Comes Up Short

Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Cromwell/Portland Panthers 49-14. Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Cromwell/Portland was led to victory by Michael Sitaro Jr. and Tyler Cipolla. Sitaro Jr. threw for 329 yards and four TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, while Cipolla gained 254 total yards and four touchdowns. Cipolla really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. Rafael Mendez III helped Sitaro Jr. out on the ground, rushing for 69 yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Cromwell/Portland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
