Basketball Recap: Berryville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Green Forest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berryville). They claimed a resounding 69-40 victory over the Green Forest Tigers. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 73-71 loss the last time these two teams met.

Green Forest's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Collin Atchison and Grady Massengale. Atchison posted 15 points, while Massengale went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and six boards. Massengale continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zak Watson, who put up six points and six rebounds.

The win (which was Berryville's third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Green Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Berryville will head out to face off against Gentry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berryville is facing Gentry at the right time seeing as Gentry is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Green Forest has already played their next contest (against Prairie Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
