Recap: Lowell Red Devils vs. Valparaiso Vikings
The Lowell Red Devils lost against the Valparaiso Vikings back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lowell received a tough blow as they fell 58-39 to Valparaiso. Lowell has not had much luck with Valparaiso recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Lowell's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Viehman, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braydon Cox, who scored 11 points.
Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Valparaiso, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Lowell will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Portage at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Portage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lowell in Indiana (Portage is ranked 129th, while Lowell is ranked 309th). Valparaiso won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th. Kankakee Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.8 points per game.
