Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Strother

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Strother walked away with it. They strolled past the Earlsboro Wildcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 68-50. The win was all the more spectacular given the Yellowjackets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st in Oklahoma, while the Wildcats are ranked 125th in Oklahoma).

Strother pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Earlsboro, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.

Strother didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-34 defeat against Dover on the 24th. Earlsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
