Volleyball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Comes Up Short

Triangle Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Raleigh Charter Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.

Shelby Payne was a one-woman wrecking crew For Raleigh Charter. as she had 14 assists and eight aces. Those eight aces gave Payne a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Sheng, who had four digs and three aces.

Triangle Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Raleigh Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-15.

Triangle Math & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Raleigh Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Roxboro Community on the 9th.
