Long is a perfect 7-0 against Ariton since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rebels will look to defend their home pitch against the Purple Cats at 5:30 p.m. Long is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

On Monday, Long came up short against Northside Methodist Academy and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for Long in their meetings with Northside Methodist Academy: they've now lost nine in a row.

Long's goal came courtesy of Jordan Jacobs, who's now up to 21 this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ariton). They never let Highland Home get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for Ariton as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

Ariton's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-13-1. As for Long, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1.

Long got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Ariton by a conclusive 5-1 score. In that contest, the Rebels amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
