Recap: Bangor Slaters vs. Saucon Valley Panthers
On Monday, the Bangor Slaters's game was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Saucon Valley by a score of 44-33. For Bangor, this counts as revenge for the 47-41 defeat Saucon Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Despite the loss, Saucon Valley still got an impressive performance from Jack Robertson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. The game was Robertson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Weiss, who scored two points.
The win got Bangor back to even at 4-4. As for Saucon Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.
Bangor will head out on the road to face off against Pen Argyl at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Pen Argyl is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Saucon Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Palisades at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Palisades and Saucon Valley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
