It was a good run, but Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 45-35 to the Vermilion Catholic Eagles. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Vermilion Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Notre Dame will look to defend their home court on Monday against Jennings. One thing working in Jennings' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Vermilion Catholic, they will square off against Highland Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
