Soccer Game Preview: Cordova vs. Munford

The Cordova Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Munford Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cordova's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cordova's offense. They fell just short of Arlington by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Cordova can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Arlington are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Munford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Fayette Ware 7-1 on Thursday. Mateusz Sikora was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Cordova now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Munford, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-6-2 record.
