Football Game Preview: Deerfield Beach Bucks vs. Taravella Trojans

The Deerfield Beach Bucks will take on the Taravella Trojans at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Deerfield Beach has eight straight victories, Taravella has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Deerfield Beach slipped by Chaminade-Madonna 7-6.

Meanwhile, Taravella fell victim to Piper and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bengals, falling 25-0. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Bengals are ranked 98th).

Taravella's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Deerfield Beach, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything went Deerfield Beach's way against Taravella in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as Deerfield Beach made off with a 26-0 victory. Will Deerfield Beach repeat their success, or does Taravella have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
