DeKalb gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to the Fort Wayne North Side Legends for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-21 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-11.

Leading DeKalb to victory were Abbie Harris and Kyla Kjendalen. Harris shot 70% from the field en route to 13 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Kjendalen went 7-for-9 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbie Oliphant, who posted eight points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: DeKalb was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne North Side only posted two.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne North Side still got an impressive performance from Jayonna Flotow, who put up seven points in addition to 11 boards and five blocks. Flotow is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
