Soccer Game Preview: Roma vs. Southwest

The Roma Gladiators will head out on the road to square off against the Southwest Dragons at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Roma fell victim to Monterey and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 5-0 to the Plainsmen. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Southwest kept a clean sheet against Uvalde on Friday. They beat the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) by a goal, winning 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Dragons were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Gizelle Fierros, who's now up to three this season.

Roma's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
