Baseball Recap: Eldon Takes a Loss

Eldon blew Hallsville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Hallsville got their revenge. The Mustangs fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since April 20th.

This is the second loss in a row for Eldon and nudges their season record down to 15-14. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Hallsville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16-2.

Looking ahead, Eldon will challenge Owensville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hallsville, they will head out to face off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
