Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Patriots vs. Raleigh Charter Phoenix        
        
		
             Franklin Academy won the last time they faced Raleigh Charter and  Rayne Bookhart did her part to make sure it happened again. The Franklin Academy Patriots took down the Raleigh Charter Phoenix 40-21  on Friday thanks in part to  Bookhart, who  earned 20 points in addition to seven  rebounds and four  steals. She has been hot , having  posted three or more  steals the last five times she's  played.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Griffin Coward, who  posted two points in addition to ten  rebounds and six  steals. She is becoming a predictor of Franklin Academy's success: when she posts  at  least eight  rebounds the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when she doesn't).
 Franklin Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in eight consecutive  contests.
 Franklin Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points per game. As for Raleigh Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Franklin Academy will be playing at home against Granville Central  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Raleigh Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Triangle Math & Science at 6:00  p.m.  on December 19th.
