After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whittier, Norwalk was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over the Firebaugh Falcons. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Jezrael Acosta was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Giselle Albidrez, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Norwalk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory got Norwalk back to even at 11-11-1. As for Firebaugh, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
