Tyler Armstrong posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.
