Softball Recap: Mt. Gilead Finds Home Field Redemption Against Shekinah Christian

There's no place like home for Mt. Gilead, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Shekinah Christian Flames on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Flames recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Anavey Jodrey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Trinity Schrote was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Mt. Gilead's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Shekinah Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Mt. Gilead will square off against Fredericktown at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shekinah Christian, they will challenge Delaware Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
