Volleyball Game Preview: Holton Wildcats vs. Trinity Academy Knights

The Holton Wildcats will square off against the Trinity Academy Knights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Holton will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Holton beat Osage City 2-0.

Holton got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 35-33, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Trinity Academy and Silver Lake squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Trinity Academy had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Trinity Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16.

Holton's win bumped their record up to 37-9. As for Trinity Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 30-6.
