Softball Recap: Resurrection Comes Up Short

Resurrection couldn't beat Mother McAuley on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Bandits fell just short of the Mighty Macs by a score of 11-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mighty Macs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 back in April.

Jenna Skweres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mia Gurdak, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Resurrection now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Mother McAuley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Resurrection has already played their next match (against Montini Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mother McAuley also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Nazareth Academy.
