Basketball Recap: Northwest Yeshiva Takes a Loss

Northwest Yeshiva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 88-55 loss at the hands of the Muckleshoot Tribal Kings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Kings since December 12, 2019.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Benoliel, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Benoliel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Leon Varon was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Northwest Yeshiva's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Northwest Yeshiva will welcome Mount Vernon Christian at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Muckleshoot Tribal has already played their next match (against Quilcene), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
