Baseball Recap: Apple Valley Victorious

Apple Valley's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Eagan Wildcats. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Apple Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Eagan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Apple Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Prior Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eagan will take on rival Shakopee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3, the Sabers 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
