Basketball Recap: Legacy Lightning vs. Holy Family Tigers
On Tuesday, the Legacy Lightning came up short against the Holy Family Tigers and fell 58-48. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Legacy lost, don't look at Ari Harpring. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-16 on his way to 20 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Allshouse, who posted 11 points.
Holy Family's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rocco Howes, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Looking ahead, Legacy will square off against Boulder at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boulder knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Legacy likes a good challenge. As for Holy Family, they will take on Mead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season.
